Nowadays travelling to pilgrimage spots is becoming highly popular, especially on the Buddhist circuit in countries like Nepal, India, Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.
In Viet Nam too there are many centres of spiritualism like Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh Province), Chua Xu Temple (Chau Doc city), Ta Cu Mountain (Phan Thiet Province), Thien Mu Pagoda (Thua Thien-Hue Province), Bai Dinh Pagoda (Ninh Binh Province), King Hung’s Temple (Phu Tho Province), Perfume Pagoda (Ha Tay Province), and others.
TTC Safari - Ta Cu, a sacred destination
TTC Safari – Ta Cu Recreation Complex of TTC Group has become a member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).
IAAPA represents over 4,800 amusement parks and attractions in more than 90 countries, including famous names such as Disneyland Singapore, Universal Singapore, DreamWorks Studios, Sea world Australia, Babylon Casino Macau, and Kingdom of Dreams India.
Ta Cu Mountain, 170km to the north-east of HCM City, is well-known in Binh Thuan Province not only for its tropical rainforest, cool climate, fresh air and rich flora and fauna but also because it is an ideal pilgrimage and eco-tourism destination.
Ta Cu is renowned for its historical and cultural relics, including Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda, which was built in Buddhist style in 1870-80 during the Nguyen Dynasty era, and Linh Son Long Doan Pagoda with modern architecturefeaturing harmonious pyramid-shaped yin-yang tile roofs.
People coming to Ta Cu Mountain for sightseeing or visiting the pagoda can reach the top by cable car or climb on foot.
From the cable car, they can see one side of the mountain with Thuan Nam Om town with its ripe red dragon pagoda gardens, Ke Ga lighthouse in the immense blue sea, and century-old trees amid clouds, evoking images of afairyland.
Those on foot will have the chance to climb steep slopes with impressive landscapes.
In the first stage they can see Ban Ha Stone and Ban Thuong Stone (also called Ông Địa or the Earth God Stone) and a stream under the foot of Tho Than Statue.
The higher they go, the steeper the gradient.
They will then reach Bang Lang (Crape-myrtle) Hill, which is covered in lovely purple flowers in May every year, next to Yen Ngua (Horse saddle) Hill (or Fairy Well) with a large flat stone on the rivulet that evokes images of a chessboard used by fairies.
When they reach the peak, tourists will be surprised by an ancient pagoda hidden in an immense forest and a giant reclining Buddha statue in what is a major iconographic and statuary pattern in Buddhism.
Chilling out
After sightseeing and visiting pagodas, tourists can relax and play games by the lake, taking in the cool and fresh atmosphere of the area, and enjoy traditional Vietnamese foods and excellent vegetarian dishes at Thuy Ta Restaurant (on the lake) or Thien Thai Restaurant (on the mountain).
After a day’s pilgrimage, tourists can relax on Ta Cu Mountain to enjoy the forest at night at 649 metres above sea level or travel another 28km to reach Phan Thiet and stay the night at TTC Hotel Premium - Phan Thiet (Park Diamond).
The hotel is designed with airy and private spaces, with all rooms overlooking Doi Duong Beach. It has an outdoor swimming pool and a spa.
