Concerns about Vietnamese coconut
Coconut tree has been the cultural symbol of Vietnam due to the similarities with the country, traditional customs day and casual life. Mentioning coconut, people immediately think of Ben Tre Province. Possessing over 70,000 hectares of coconut (44% national coconut area) and annual production of 600 million coconuts, this province was known as the coconut capital of Vietnam. Along with high production, the quality of Ben Tre coconut has been appreciated due to thick peel for the best eco-friendly coal, rich organic nutrition, durable coir, and sweeter coconut meat and juice.
The “10,000 hectares of organic coconut farm for farmers” plan
Being one of the dedicated companies towards Ben Tre coconut, finding new strategy for the fellow product and increasing farmer’s living condition are the concern and mission of Betrimex. The company has strongly invested in equipment, applied technology in production and produced decent products from coconut.
Fruitful consequence from dedication
In order to implementing the “10,000 hectares of organic coconut farm for farmers” plan, Betrimex has conducted the connective model with farmers. When the farmers participate in this project, the company not only sponsors the equipment but also trains them to latest farming method. Moreover, the firm commits to purchase all outputs at the price that is 5-10% higher than market price.
