On December 13, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, the D-JOY Sport Academy officially launched, marking a significant milestone in the strategy to develop Pickleball in Vietnam according to international standards.
This event reaffirms D-JOY's commitment to building a comprehensive training, competition, and development ecosystem, fostering a generation of athletes capable of competing at the regional and global levels.
International standard training environment - Comprehensive training ecosystem
Positioned as a professional training center, D-JOY Sports Academy builds a systematic training environment, inspires sportsmanship, and fosters a modern competitive mindset. Students are trained in fundamental techniques, game thinking, physical fitness, and demeanor – all essential elements in high-performance sports.
D-JOY Sports Academy Launch Ceremony
With a focus on building a world-class training environment, D-JOY Sports Academy brings together a team of experienced coaches, most notably Kyle Yates – the legendary American pickleball player and former world number one – who will serve as Head Coach. Kyle Yates's presence not only elevates the quality of training but also creates a world-class professional foundation for the development of Vietnamese athletes.
Mr. Dang Quang Anh – Chairman of D-JOY Co., Ltd. and Director of D-JOY Sports Academy – stated that the Academy aims to become a "cradle" for training athletes capable of conquering the SEA Games, ASIAD, and progressing towards the Olympic arena. In addition, D-JOY emphasizes expanding international cooperation by being the first Platinum partner of DUPR in Southeast Asia and the sole representative of Vietnam, along with six major global partners, in founding the Global Pickleball Alliance. This is a crucial foundation that helps D-JOY not only develop sports domestically but also aims to make Vietnam a world center for pickleball training and competition.
Asia's leading facilities
D-JOY Sports Academy boasts state-of-the-art facilities, among the best in Asia, with 63 high-quality pickleball courts, including the largest pickleball complex in Asia. These facilities are arranged in a flexible training-competition-training model, fully meeting the needs of: athlete training; coaching development; organizing amateur, semi-professional, and professional tournaments; and organizing domestic and international training programs. It's not just a place for technical training, but also a practical environment for hands-on experience, helping students become familiar with competition pressure, improve reflexes, tactics, and performance. A highlight is the central court with a grandstand capacity of up to 650 seats, which previously hosted the D-Joy Vietnam Masters - Petrolimex Cup 2025, the "first Grand Slam" of Vietnamese pickleball.
With the combined efforts of partners, organizations/associations, professionals, and the pickleball community, Vietnam has the potential to become a central destination for regional sports.
Furthermore, the D-JOY Sports Academy is built as a modern training complex, meeting all training needs from basic to advanced levels. The academic area allows students to access modern training methods currently used in many leading sports academies worldwide. Independent meeting rooms are available for strategic meetings, internal training, and curriculum development.
The high-standard dormitory provides a safe, comfortable, and disciplined living environment for students in long-term programs, sports summer camps, or youth athlete training. The space is scientifically planned to allow students to study, train, and maintain their performance and daily routines.
The academy also has a sports psychology treatment and support center – a crucial component in high-performance training. Trainees are supported throughout by a team of psychological and medical experts, providing mental recovery support, physical and psychological assessments, and training in emotional control during competition. This forms the foundation for athletes to maintain confidence, alertness, and composure under the pressure of major tournaments.
Complementing the training ecosystem is a gym equipped with modern machinery and staffed by experienced fitness experts. Trainees are trained in strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination – core elements for achieving top-level pickleball performance.
D-JOY Sports Academy is located at 61 Nguyen Luong Bang Street, Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Furthermore, at the event, D-JOY was honored to receive scholarships worth 1.5 billion VND from Nguyen Hoang Group and 1 billion VND from Thanh Thanh Cong International Education Joint Stock Company (TTC Edu) for athletes who achieved outstanding results at the D-Joy Junior World Championship as well as upcoming tournaments organized by D-JOY.
The official opening of the D-JOY Sports Academy affirms D-JOY's commitment to the development of the Pickleball movement and Vietnamese sports towards professionalism, integration, and sustainability. D-JOY will work with partners, the community of athletes, and fans both domestically and internationally to create a healthy and modern ecosystem, contributing to elevating the position of Vietnamese sports on the world map.
