Overview

Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company (GEC, HOSE: GEG) is the key unit of TTC Energy industry. Joining the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange since September 2019, GEG stock belongs to the VN100 Index Basket in the July 2020 restructuring period and is the only company in the Basket that owns a diverse portfolio of renewable energy , is proud to be the unit that commercially energized the first two solar power plants in Vietnam, Phong Dien (Thua Thien Hue) and Krong Pa (Gia Lai).

Owning 23 hydroelectric, solar and wind power plants with a total operating capacity of nearly 800 Mwp, providing 5.9 billion kWh of electricity output to the national grid, reducing nearly 5.6 million tons of CO2 emissions and supply electricity to 2.6 million households.

In recent years, towards the Green Finance strategy, GEC has always been the destination for Green capital flows from financial institutions and investors such as: JERA, DEG, SYMBIOTICS... At the same time, setting goals strive to increase the project portfolio with development capacity to more than 1,700 MW in the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

STRENGTHS

With more than 3 decades of experience in building and operating hydroelectric plants, GEC currently owns 12 hydroelectric plants, concentrated in 3 areas of Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Hue with a total capacity of 81 MW. GEC is also a pioneer in the field of solar power in Vietnam, currently operating and deploying 6 ground-mounted solar power plants and rooftop systems with a total capacity of 342 MWp. In addition, GEC has successfully constructed and put into operation 4 wind power plants with a total capacity of up to 230 MW in Tien Giang, Ben Tre and Gia Lai.

GEC has also provided the market with the following services: Operation and maintenance (O&M) for solar power plants, Robotic Solar Panel Cleaning (GEC Robotic Solar Panel Cleaning); Testing and testing services in the field of electricity and electronics serve the purpose of checking the quality and ensuring the safety of electrical equipment and tools.
