9 am of October 19th morning, the first ferry from Ha Tien moved to Vinh Dam harbor (Phu Quoc district, Kien Giang province) carring many customers with many goods from mainland to island.
Launching of this ferry helped clear the sea shipping line, supply necessity goods for Phu Quoc after stucking in many days due to Da Chong – Bai Thom line in the north of the land is deterioration.
Besides, seafoods from Phu Quoc is also transported to the mainland easily, not depend to airline as well as reduce dramatically the cost for enterprises compared to transportation by airline.
Accordingly, everyday, it will have 2 sealine from Ha Tien to Vinh Dam harbor from 6 am to 9 am. The backward start from 12 pm to 15 pm.
Mr Vo Quoc Khanh – General Director of Toan Hai Van JSC, the investor of Vinh Dam Harbor complex, said that although the construction is building, but to meet the transportation demand between the island and mainland as well as citizen transportation demand, so the company creates maximum favour condition to operate Thanh Thoi Harbor.
In long term, Mr Khanh said it will build a modern harbor system in Vinh Dam harbor and will be used from mainland to this harbor.
