After joing WTO in 2007, with the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPP) and other agreements including Free Trade Area (FTA) agreements which Vietnam was and is on the process of negotiating, this marks the threshold of local enterprises in integrating with the global economy. Even for the strong industries, without the good preparation, the enterprises could face challenges right at the local market. With an opstimistic view, “Not only with the TTP, Vietnam is considered for integration. We have joined with the global ecomony since other agreements and FTA. With reference to the obvious trends of market mechanism, there is no development without competition. Thereby, in a few points of view, integration creates a chance for Vietnam agriculture industry to develop. In order to compete with international products at the local market, we need to provide with high quality products and to gain trusts from the consumers.” stated Mr Pham Hong Duong, Chairman of the Thanh Thanh Cong Tay Ninh Sugar Joint Stock Company.
