Amid the recovering real estate market and the increasing momentum of M&A activities, a subsidiary of Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate JSC – TTC Land (HOSE: SCR) has successfully completed the M&A transaction for Song Centre Shopping Mall, located in Bac Lieu City. This move strengthens long-term revenue streams and aligns with TTC Land’s sustainable development strategy.

The Song Centre Shopping Mall is strategically located at the prime intersection of Tran Phu - Hai Ba Trung Streets, in Ward 3, Bac Lieu City, directly opposite the renowned Cong tu Bac Lieu Mansion and Bac Lieu Hotel.
Experts predict that 2025 will witness a surge in M&A activity, particularly in the real estate sector, as businesses focus on restructuring investment portfolios, acquiring clean land banks, and optimizing asset utilization.
Bac Lieu and the Mekong Delta region are entering a phase of rapid development, especially in commercial real estate. With accelerating urbanization, increasing income levels, and growing consumer demand, the region's retail market is undergoing a significant transformation.
Recognizing this potential, numerous real estate developers have swiftly launched shopping mall projects to cater to rising customer demand. Projects such as Vincom Bac Lieu, GO! Bac Lieu, Aeon Mall Can Tho, and other large-scale shopping centers have been inaugurated, reshaping urban landscapes and driving economic growth in the region.
TTC Land's Strategic M&A Move
Seizing this trend, TTC Land successfully completed an M&A transaction for Song Centre Shopping Mall, optimizing investment costs and accelerating operational readiness without lengthy development timelines. This acquisition not only ensures immediate and stable revenue generation but also demonstrates TTC Land’s flexible growth strategy in capitalizing on market opportunities.
Located in the heart of Bac Lieu City, right across from the Cong tu Bac Lieu Mansion, Song Centre benefits from proximity to government offices, commercial hubs, and tourism attractions, ensuring high foot traffic from both locals and visitors.
The project spans a total construction floor area of 11,827m² on a 4,100m² land plot, with a 64% construction density. The five-story shopping mall has a total investment exceeding 150 billion VND.
A New Retail & Lifestyle Destination in Bac Lieu
Officially operational since early 2023, Song Centre offers nearly 8,000m² of retail space, featuring a diverse mix of businesses, including local specialty stores, a supermarket, shopping zones, a cinema, and a wide variety of dining establishments. More than just a retail hub, the mall contributes to the urban aesthetic and promotes the development of Bac Lieu’s commercial, service, and entertainment infrastructure.
With a strong track record in mixed-use commercial projects, such as TTC Plaza Binh Thanh, Charmington La Pointe (Ho Chi Minh City), TTC Plaza Duc Trong (Lam Dong), and the upcoming TTC Plaza Da Nang, TTC Land’s acquisition of Song Centre aligns with its vision to maximize local market potential and strengthen its foundation for future commercial developments.
Strengthening TTC Land’s Market Position
This project not only allows TTC Land to expand its commercial real estate portfolio—a core business focus—but also supports investment restructuring and revenue optimization from operations. Successfully acquiring and managing a large-scale shopping mall in Bac Lieu, an emerging market, enhances TTC Land’s leadership in commercial real estate and paves the way for a comprehensive real estate ecosystem, spanning residential, commercial, and service properties.

C Milestone in TTC Land’s 2025-2030 Growth Strategy
This acquisition marks the beginning of TTC Land’s 2025-2030 development strategy, setting the stage for future M&A deals to expand its investment portfolio. With a long-term vision, TTC Land will continue to scale operations, strengthen its market position, and enhance sustainable value for shareholders under the stock code SCR.
