On the April 5th 2016, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai - Chairman of Binh Thuan People's Committee Office had a meeting with TTC Group discussing topic of solarpower project’s investment at Binh Thuan province. Attending the meeting, there were Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoa – Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan People's Committee Office; leaders of Industry and Trade Department, Planning and Investment Department, Natural Resources and Environment Department and People's Committee Office of Binh Thuan province.
TTC Group was established in 1979 with the advantage in investing in the focusing fields such as hydropower, thermopower, sugarcane, real estate, hospitality, etc. TTC Group currently owns and manages 15 small and medium hydropower factories with total capacity of nearly 90MW, as well as 3 thermopower factories with total capacity of 100MW. TTC Group’ thermopower factories produce electricity by the after products from sugarcane and supply those to run the sugar production in some manufactories. TTC Group identifies the strategic plan is investment in the clean and renewable energy, including the solarpower.
Searching the investing opportunities in solarpower, the representative of TTC Group’s leaders introduced the investing scale of project in Binh Thuan province’s area, including 02 phrases. The first phrase (2016 - 2020) invests 30MW in the area of 100ha. The second one (2020 - 2030) will invest from 100MW up to 300MW in the area of 300ha. The required land for the project is mainly infertile, unused or unable land for cultivate crops.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai - Chairman of Binh Thuan People's Committee Office welcome TTC Group attended and discussed about this topic at the meeting. He also requested the Industry and Trade Department, Planning and Investment Department, Natural Resources and Environment Department and other involving Department to guide and help TTC in choosing place, reporting and completing the permission’s paper for this project. After finishing those, TTC will start this project immediately but still have to follow the government policy.
