The 2025 New Generation Student Competition was a landmark event, featuring participation from over 50 universities nationwide and 130 community-oriented projects. The program format was comprehensively revamped, challenging not only knowledge but also organizational and project implementation skills in real-world scenarios, including: the Identity Arena, the Sports and Talent Arena, the Practical Arena, the Courage Arena, and the National Finals Arena.
In the first round of the National Finals Arena, broadcast on Sunday evening, January 11th, the program opened with a visual feast showcasing ideas brought to life on stage by the top three teams from Hanoi School of Management and Business (HSB), Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), and Yersin University.

Three projects offered inspiring insights: HSB told a humane story about people with disabilities, affirming that digital technology is a bridge to an equal future; UEF recreated Vietnamese cultural identity through traditional costumes from the three regions, spreading the spirit of fashion regeneration and responsible consumption.
Meanwhile, students from Yersin University in Da Lat conveyed a message of recovery after the floods through a joint pain medication product made from local agricultural products, symbolizing the will and aspiration to revive community livelihoods.
While Round 1 focused on emotions with projects in different fields: a non-profit community education project (HSB), a community awareness project with a fashion theme (UEF), and a health care product project from local agricultural materials (Yersin), Round 2 was an intellectual battleground where courage and sharpness were put to the highest test.
Round 2 was intense with Q&A sessions between the three teams UEF, HSB, and Yersin (Photo: Herbalife Vietnam).
Round 2 was intense, with each team having only one minute to present and one minute to respond, forcing teams not only to defend their projects but also to thoroughly understand their opponents' fields in order to formulate strategic questions.
Under this pressure, HSB demonstrated resilience by clearly outlining mechanisms for protecting people with disabilities and measuring effectiveness through practical results, achieving 44 points; UEF presented the "greening" trend in various fields, scoring 43 points. Meanwhile, Yersin convinced the judges with its Chilicap model based on 9 ESG standards, affirming its commitment to sustainable development and leading with 45 points.
The climax of the final night erupted in Round 3, "Reflecting on the Future"—a category making its debut at the New Generation Student 2025 competition, where teams directly faced experienced CEOs and founders in the same field.
In the Q&A session, HSB impressed with their poised answers regarding their motivations for supporting the disadvantaged, earning an outstanding 46 points. UEF countered concerns about the potential for promoting fast fashion through consumer behavior tracking mechanisms, earning 42 points. Yersin confidently clarified the financial challenges and committed to sustainable development for the local area, receiving support from the judges and achieving 43 points.
After three rounds of competition, luck ultimately smiled upon the HSB student team's project, "Rising with the Digital Platform." This was a well-deserved result thanks to its consistent humanistic messaging strategy about empowerment and opportunity creation, along with an egalitarian social perspective that reached a wide range of people, not just the disadvantaged, to evoke empathy. Their composure won over the judging panel.

The "Herbalife Award" (for the most popular team), worth 50 million VND in teaching equipment, was presented to the winning team's school, affirming their commitment to investing in the future.
