On May 2nd, Lam Dong's popular tourist destinations, including Da Lat, Mui Ne, and Phu Quy Island, continued to be bustling. The number of tourists visiting Lam Dong for both mountain and beach getaways did not decrease significantly compared to the main holidays of April 30th and May 1st.
According to observations by a Vietnam News Agency (TTXVN) reporter, on major roads in Da Lat such as the Kim Cuc Five-Way Intersection, the roundabout near the Night Market fountain, and around Xuan Huong Lake, vehicles from other provinces lined up heading to tourist attractions. Roads with many accommodation establishments, such as Phan Dinh Phung, Bui Thi Xuan, and Hoang Van Thu, were also busy with visitors. Meanwhile, at the beach resorts of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, the beaches were packed with tourists. Phu Quy Island, however, is still experiencing a shortage of accommodation.
Mr. Dinh Tuan Anh, Director of TTC World - Love Valley Tourist Area in Da Lat, said that compared to the same period in 2025, the number of visitors to the tourist area during the April 30th - May 1st holiday increased by 142%. Specifically, in the three days from April 29th to May 1st, there were 8,814 visitors to the tourist area for sightseeing and entertainment; while in the same three days in 2025, there were only nearly 6,300 visitors. On May 2nd, it is estimated that about 4,600 visitors came to the tourist area.

Despite difficulties due to the closure of Lien Khuong International Airport and the incomplete construction of some major transportation routes such as National Highway 28A, thanks to the effective implementation of demand-stimulating measures, the number of tourists visiting Lam Dong province during the holiday is estimated to be higher than the same period in 2025. Occupancy rates at hotels and homestays in the central area of Da Lat reached approximately 70-80%. Some hotels with prime locations near Da Lat market or Xuan Huong Lake recorded a rapid increase in guests from the evening of April 30th and were almost fully booked on May 1st and 2nd.
Meanwhile, as of May 2nd, accommodation on Phu Quy Island is fully booked. The entire special economic zone has 69 hotels and guesthouses with 850 rooms and over 100 homestays; due to Phu Quy being in its most beautiful season of the year, all rooms have been sold out.
