During the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the number of tourists visiting Da Lat (Lam Dong province) increased dramatically compared to the same period last year, marking many positive signs for the local tourism industry right from the beginning of the new year.

The number of tourists visiting Da Lat began to increase sharply from the third day of Tet (Lunar New Year).
Observations of the tourist situation in Da Lat over the past few days show that the number of tourists flocking to the area has started to increase sharply, especially on the 3rd and 4th days of Tet (Lunar New Year).
In public spaces in the center of Da Lat, the atmosphere of spring festivities is always bustling from early morning until late at night.
The streets around Xuan Huong Lake, Da Lat Market, Lam Vien Square, and other popular tourist attractions recorded crowds many times larger than usual.
Spring flower photo spots, cherry blossom gardens, and Tet (Lunar New Year) decorations attract a large number of tourists and locals who come to visit and take pictures.
According to Mr. Dinh Tuan Anh, Director of the TTC Lam Dong amusement park complex, compared to the same period last year, the number of visitors to the Valley of Love tourist area during this year's Lunar New Year holiday has increased by nearly 300%.
Notably, the trend of experiential tourism and eco-tourism continues to grow strongly. Many agricultural tourism areas, farmstays, and homestays in suburban areas such as Trai Mat, Xuan Tho, and Ta Nung are operating at full capacity. Cloud-hunting tours, trekking, and overnight camping in the Langbiang mountain area and Cau Dat tea hills are fully booked well in advance.

Many tourists took the opportunity to take photos with the late-season cherry blossoms by Xuan Huong Lake.
New tourism products are being invested in and put into operation by many tourist areas and destinations to serve the needs of tourists during this period.
Due to the increasing number of tourists visiting the area, many hotels and accommodation establishments are operating at almost full capacity. In particular, 3- to 5-star hotels, high-end resorts, and homestays in the city center, as well as some other accommodation establishments, are experiencing localized "fully booked" situations.
According to a representative of MerPerle Dalat Hotel, with a capacity of 350 rooms, the number of advance bookings has already reached about 90%, mainly from the 2nd to the 5th day of Tet (Lunar New Year).
The high demand for accommodation has led to many hotels being fully booked.
Anticipating a surge in visitors, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province has proactively developed a plan to coordinate with relevant local units to implement activities ensuring security, traffic safety, environmental hygiene, and food safety during the Lunar New Year holiday for both locals and tourists.
Despite the large influx of tourists, the roads in the center of Da Lat did not experience the traffic congestion seen in previous years.
At the same time, the provincial tourism industry is also strengthening inspections and controls on the prices of accommodation, food, and passenger transportation services to limit price gouging and maintain the image of a friendly and civilized destination in the hearts of tourists.
