Own «golden coordinates» only more than 1 hour by motorcycle from the city of Phan Thiet, and more than 2 hours if you move from Ho Chi Minh City. HCM; With pristine natural landscapes and many attractive local experiences, Ke Ga is a reasonable choice for couples, families or groups of friends who want to travel on weekends, away from the smog of the city.

COLOURFUL DESTINATION

In recent years, Vietnamese tend to prefer short-term tourism. To save time and optimize the experience, tourists often choose destinations far from Ho Chi Minh City. HCM is about 2 to 3 hours drive. The overwhelming number of short holidays has favoured the development of tourist resorts near Ho Chi Minh City. HCM; in particular, Ke Ga is a destination with the potential to welcome a large number of visitors.

Since the entry into service of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, the number of tourists in Binh Thuan has increased. Reports from accommodation establishments show that many resorts are in a «room fire» state by the end of December. Mr. Julian Moore, general manager of Azerai Ke Ga Bay, also said that thanks to its location on a beautiful beach overlooking Ke Ga Bay, 500 meters from Vietnam’s oldest lighthouse, his company’s hotel is often exhausted on weekends.

Ke Ga is only more than an hour by motorcycle from Phan Thiet City, and more than 2 hours if you move from Ho Chi Minh City. HCM.

In addition, Ke Ga also has a place that tourists cannot help but visit, which is the lighthouse known as the «oldest» of Vietnam. The «specialty» of the Cape Ke Ga lighthouse is the 360-degree panoramic view. Visitors who come here will be able to see the sun gradually sinking into the blue sea of the waves. The path to the lighthouse is also very poetic, shaded by ancient oceanic lobes, the filaos. Sometimes, along the way, there is also the scent of white porcelain flowers, mixed with the characteristic salty smell of the sea. In particular, this lighthouse is fully illuminated 24 hours a day and 7 days a week by solar energy

THE TOURISM INDUSTRY IS THRIVING

In recent years, tourism in Binh Thuan has continued to grow in quality and quantity, becoming the most attractive destination in the South Central Region. According to Mr. Bui The Nhan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan, in 2023 the province should welcome 8.3 million visitors, an increase of 34% compared to the previous year and more than 36% of the annual plan.

In particular, the number of foreign visitors reached about 220,000, twice as many as last year, mainly from Europe and Korea. As a result, tourism revenues reached about 19.5 trillion VND. For the first time, the province of Binh Thuan is registered in the tourism industry of Vietnam, in 10 provinces with tourist sales of more than 10,000 billion dong for 3 consecutive years.

During the seminar Presentation and promotion of the destination Ke Ga - Binh Thuan held in Ho Chi Minh City. Recently, Bui The Nhan said that Ke Ga and the surrounding population of this region have a unique culture and pristine natural landscapes.

However, while it is an ideal destination, Ke Ga Cape has not “exploded” tourism lately as expected. Bui The Nhan said the reason is that the transport and technical infrastructure supporting the tourism industry is facing difficulties and has not been properly invested; There are no strategic businesses or accommodation establishments to enhance tourism services; media promotion methods have not met the requirements.

In 2024, Ke Ga alone aims to welcome 3.5 million visitors, out of a total of 8.8 million visitors to Binh Thuan.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan Province is currently focusing on solving these problems. As a result, the transport network was expanded in the southern region. Highways and roads are invested to connect the province of Binh Thuan to Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Lam Dong,... At the same time, continue to promote the attraction of investors. Support the communication of the destination with tourists, while reinforcing the propaganda so that local people do tourism together.
