During Tet Nguyen Dan 2024, the tourism industry in the Mekong Delta (ĐBSCL) achieved high revenue, especially with the encouraging sign of an increase in international visitors. Specifically, many localities such as Kien Giang, Can Tho City, Dong Thap, and Bac Lieu saw an increase in tourist arrivals ranging from 7-17% compared to the same period last year.
Kien Giang's tourism revenue increases by 6.6 times
Information from the Kien Giang Department of Tourism shows that with various activities such as exhibitions, flower festivals, Tet culinary areas... creating a festive atmosphere for locals and tourists to experience during the Lunar New Year. Tourist areas, entertainment venues all focus on decoration, upgrading facilities, expanding entertainment services areas, introducing new services to serve during Tet, creating highlights for tourism products to attract tourists.
For example, activities at the Water Park, Hon Thom Cable Car, Shows like "Kiss the star", "Marriage proposal", "Vui Fest Bazaar Night Market", "Light Park and Snow Forest", Themed amusement park VinWonders, "Grandworld Sleepless City"... in Phu Quoc City have contributed to diversifying tourism products, providing more choices for tourists during the Lunar New Year.
From February 8th to 15th, 2024 (from the 29th of the last lunar month to the 6th day of Tet), Kien Giang's total tourism revenue reached 1,262 billion VND, an increase of 6.6 times compared to the same period last year.

Mr. Ly Vy Trieu Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Bac Lieu Province, stated that 2024 has been designated as the "year of consolidation" to implement the XIII Party Congress, the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, and the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan (2021 - 2025) of the province.

According to Mr. Dao Si Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of An Giang Province, from February 7th to 12th (from the 28th of the last lunar month to the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year), it is estimated to have 410,000 visitors, an increase of 12.6% compared to the same period in 2023. The number of guests staying is estimated at 5,200, equivalent to the same period last year (including 1,064 international guests). The number of guests served by travel companies in the province is estimated at 1,433, an increase of 7.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Hieu Hung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Ca Mau Province, said that the total number of visitors to visit tourist areas, attractions, relics, and accommodations from February 8th to 9th until 15th was 176,261 visitors (including 448 international visitors), an increase of 7.12% compared to the same Tet period in 2023. Total tourism revenue reached over VND 135.3 billion, an increase of 12.23%.
The results above show that the preparation, investment, as well as promotion and tourism promotion activities of localities, especially the participation of large enterprises, travel units have been systematically implemented with strategies.
