Announcement of the capacity to receive 2,000-ton vessels at Ben Keo Port.

On the morning of December 18th, at Ben Keo Port, Long Yen Hamlet, Hoa Thanh Ward, Tay Ninh Province, the Ben Keo Branch of Dang Huynh Industrial Park Exploitation and Management Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to announce its capacity to receive vessels with a tonnage of up to 2,000 tons. This event marks a significant step in the investment and upgrading of port infrastructure, contributing to the promotion of logistics activities and economic development in the region.

Attending the ceremony were leaders of Hoa Thanh Ward People's Committee; representatives of the Southern Maritime and Inland Waterway Sub-Department; Inland Waterway Port Authority Region III; representatives of partner businesses; and a number of member units of TTC Group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Ben Keo Branch, Le Hoang Phong, stated that the re-announcement of the Ben Keo inland waterway port's operation, allowing it to receive vessels with a tonnage of up to 2,000 tons and a draft of 4.1m, not only expands the scale and enhances operational capacity but also facilitates more efficient connections with waterway transport routes on the Saigon River and the Vam Co Dong River. This helps businesses optimize logistics costs, reduce pressure on road transport, align with the green transport development orientation, and provide a comprehensive warehousing, loading, unloading, and multimodal transport service with superior cargo handling speeds.

Deputy Director of the Inland Waterway Port Authority Region III, Huynh Van Ut, affirmed that this is a significant turning point, opening opportunities for the Ben Keo Inland Waterway Port to strengthen logistics connections with Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and other provinces in the region. The aim is to expand international cooperation in waterway transport, especially on the Vietnam-Cambodia route, in the near future.

The Southern Maritime and Inland Waterway Sub-Department presented Decision No. 2498, dated November 28, 2025, of the Vietnam Maritime and Inland Waterway Administration to the Ben Keo Branch.

At the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Southern Maritime and Inland Waterway Sub-Department, Dinh Van Ngoan, presented Decision No. 2498, dated November 28, 2025, of the Vietnam Maritime and Inland Waterway Administration, officially allowing Ben Keo Port to receive vessels with a tonnage of up to 2,000 tons.
