Nearly 170 TTC Employees Volunteer for Blood Donation
In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City aims to receive over 250,000 voluntary blood donations to ensure sufficient blood supply for emergency and treatment needs in more than 150 hospitals. Responding to this meaningful call, on the morning of May 3, 2024, TTC Corporation, in collaboration with the Tan Binh District Red Cross and DHA Healthcare Clinic, organized the 13th annual "Joy from Compassion" blood donation program of 2024. This initiative helps meet the treatment blood needs of many patients in the city's hospitals.
Mrs. Huynh Bich Ngoc, Executive Vice President and CEO of TTC Corporation, personally encouraged and thanked the blood donors for their participation and support.
With DHA Healthcare's assistance, participants were carefully guided and cared for before, during, and after donating blood. After screening tests and on-site health checks, nearly 170 employees were eligible to donate blood, resulting in a total of 231.8 units of blood. The participants included staff from various subsidiaries such as Thanh Thanh Cong Investment Company, Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate Joint Stock Company, Thanh Thanh Cong Tourism Joint Stock Company, GEC, Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company, Dang Huynh Industrial Park Management and Exploitation Joint Stock Company, Thanh Thanh Cong Trading Joint Stock Company, Thanh Thanh Cong Logistics Services Joint Stock Company, TTC Energy Joint Stock Company, Thanh Thanh Nam Joint Stock Company, and others. Notably, even the doctors from DHA Healthcare Clinic donated blood after completing their duties.
The enthusiasm and happiness of TTC Industrial Real Estate Corporation's staff were evident as they contributed to this noble cause. Some employees traveled from provinces like Tay Ninh, Long An, and Binh Duong early in the morning to participate in the program.
"Joy from Compassion" Voluntary Blood Donation Reflects Community Health Responsibility
The voluntary blood donation movement at TTC Corporation is maintained and promoted through the leadership's concern and the enthusiastic participation of its employees. Many have donated blood consecutively for many years. Over the 13 years, the number of TTC employees donating blood volumes from 350ml to 450ml has increased, and the quality of the collected blood has improved, contributing to saving patients' lives.
Mr. Tran Huu Toan (center) has participated in the "Joy from Compassion" program for 13 consecutive years and has also donated blood voluntarily in response to local calls.
According to Mrs. Huynh Bich Ngoc, Executive Vice President and CEO of TTC Corporation, voluntary blood donation is a deeply meaningful activity embodying the principle "Love others as yourself." It is a responsibility towards the community and a joy knowing that one's blood can bring life to others. "At TTC Corporation, we always believe that giving good things not only includes material and spiritual support but also provides motivation, hope, and faith in a brighter future for those less fortunate. As we understand, actions from the heart will reach the heart," Mrs. Huynh Bich Ngoc affirmed.
Nationwide Organization
From the beginning of the year, Yersin University of Dalat, in cooperation with the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross, conducted two blood donation drives, collecting a total of 411 units of blood. Toan Hai Van Joint Stock Company coordinated with the Phu Quoc City Labor Union to organize the first voluntary blood donation drive of 2024, attracting many participants.
The "Joy from Compassion" blood donation program is held not only in Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, and Kien Giang but also by other TTC Corporation member units nationwide throughout 2024.
Spreading the Best Values
With the principle "For the community, developing local areas," TTC Corporation has carried out numerous charitable activities. Most recently, in response to severe droughts affecting the Mekong Delta region, the "With TTC - Cool Hearts in the Drought Season" program was launched.
Under this plan, 62 water trucks (30 cubic meters each) were delivered directly to residents in Ben Tre, Long An, and Tien Giang provinces during April and May 2024.
These water trucks not only carried clean water but also TTC's love and care to the people in the drought-affected regions.
TTC employees enthusiastically distributed clean water to residents despite long distances, heat, holidays, or weekends.
These initiatives, including transporting clean water to the Mekong Delta provinces and the "Joy from Compassion" blood donation drive, are clear demonstrations of TTC Corporation's spirit of mutual support and empathy, lighting up hope and positivity in the community and society.
