Via the top e-commerce corporation Alibaba, Thailand and China have signed the agreement of goods exchange between the two countries.
Totally, 200 tons of Monthong durian were sold in only 1 minute. The two countries have signed the contract of USD 478 million and Thailand will provide high-quality produce for China.
“China will soon be the biggest and the most potential customer in the world when personal income increases. The number of middle-class people in China is projected to reach 300 million in 2020,” said Jack Ma, president of Alibaba Group.
One Monthong durian is worth 200 Yuan (about 700.000 VND) and weights up to 5 kg. About 2 million durians are projected to be sold in the next period.
