Dirty, fake sugar contain toxic chemicals

Dirty, unbranded sugar are mostly bleached or colored with toxic chemicals used to produce industrial detergents, which are not on the list of food processing products such as Phosphoric Acid (H3PO4). Dirty sugar manufacturers choose this method of production to increase profits because toxic solutions will make the sugar heavier and have more eye-catching colors.


According to experts, the process of transform yellowing of white sugar to yellow sugar when using Phosphoric Acid is the hydrolysis of a surface on the sugar crystal surface. The color of the sugar will now be slightly yellow, with an eye-catching iridescent because it is the crystals.


A food chemical engineer at the Central Food Testing Center, said that phosphoric acid is a chemical that, if used in excess of concentrations and doses, can cause burns to the mucosa, stomach ulcers, which cause irritation, affect the nervous system, in the long term, can cause necrosis of the body parts.
The frightening is that dirty sugarproducts are mixed by concrete mixers instead of modern machinery lines to reduce production costs.

It can be said that the production and trading facilities of dirty and fake sugar are bringing these toxic products sneaking into people daily all over the country. Consumers whose use these products are not even recognize them.

Not only sneaking into traditional markets, fake sugar manufacturers also make the most of technology to deceive consumers.
