As part of National Volunteer Day, on the evening of December 3, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh People’s Union, the Vietnam Youth Union in collaboration with the National Volunteer Centre organized the 2023 National Volunteer Award ceremony.

During the program, in addition to honouring and awarding the National Volunteer Award in 2023 to 10 collectives and 10 individuals with exceptional dedication and achievements in volunteering for the community, contributing to the cause of building and defending the homeland, the Central Committee of the Women’s Union of Vietnam also awarded certificates of merit to 100 collectives and 100 individuals with excellent achievements in 2023 community volunteering.

In particular, Lam Dong Province has two collectives honoured to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Youth Union of Vietnam for their outstanding achievements in community volunteering in 2023: the Student Volunteer Club and the Da Lat University Conference Life Club. At the same time, there are 2 individuals, including Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen - teacher at Quang Trung High School, Da Lat City and Nguyen Khanh Ly - head of the Yersin Dalat University student volunteer club.

The National Volunteer Award was established in 2011. For 12 consecutive years, the award has honoured more than 260 collectives and individuals who have achieved outstanding achievements in volunteering for the development of the country and the community. 

In 2023, the National Volunteer Award received 303 nominations selected and nominated by provinces, cities, organizations, units and individuals from across the country. The process of voting and sharing spreads on social networks, attracting the attention and vote of the community. Thanks to this, the program spreads the spirit of compassion to share the volunteer shock of organizations and individuals in society.
