Keep growth impetus, export
In 2015, although agriculture, forest, seafood faced difficulties but total export balance value achieved USD 30.14 billion, reduce 0.8% compared with 2014, mainly because of reducing price. Up to day, Vietnam has 10 export products of agriculture, forest, seafood achieved billion USD (rice, coffee, rubber, pangasius catfish, shrimp, cashew nut, pepper, wood)
In 2015, GDP growth rate achieved 2.41%, agriculture manufacture value increased 2.62%. The average of 2011-2015, GDP growth rate of industry achieved 3.13%, production value increased 3.68% in average. In 2011 – 2015, agriculture achieved the target to keep growth, meet the food demand increasingly, consumer food for domestic and increasing export.
Aiming to modern agriculture
Minister mr. Cao Duc Phat said: Politics and economics happening will be complicated and unusual. Global agriculture production continually has an up trend but with the low rate. In 2016, agriculture continues increasing GDP achieved from 3 to 3.5%, average in 2016 – 2020 from 2.5% to 3%. Agriculture – Forest – Seafood export value this year achieved USD 31 billion and will reach USD 39 – 40 billion in 2020.
In order to achieve the above target, in 2016, agriculture will concentrate to restructure, value enhancing and manufacture effectiveness, create transformation dramatically in practical. Besides, concentrate to manufacture industry development, especially, deeply manufacture and protect after harvest in modern way, in order to reduce loss after harvest and enhancing additional value of product. At the same time, keep maintaining, flexible using paddy rice square to make sure food security also enhancing effective land using, increasing profit for farmers.
