Integration of ASEAN affecting positively to Vietnam Tourism

 

ASEAN integration will bring positive impact to the development of Vietnam tourism – the key economy industry, professionally in the future.

ASEAN is one of the agreements that Vietnam tourism take part in deeply and effectively.

Vietnam tourism integrate ASEAN from the very soon

Vietnam starts researching and taking part in agreement policy from late 90s, after taking part in ASEAN (1995).

Vietnam, step by step, taked part in comprehensive activities in tourism groups/subcommittees from early 2000s and positively integrate in late 2000s.

Vietnam finished all commitments with hospitality, hotel service, food and drink service and international travel. In 2009, Vietnam hosted and organized successfully ASEAN Tourism Forum – the biggest event of ASEAN travel.

In 2009, Vietnam signed agrrements accepting each other in ASEAN about travel job (MRA – TP), the basis for human resource development for ASEAN tourism and create favourable environment to transfer labor in area. Vietnam tourism positively develop the guide document implementing MRA-TP (2013).

Vietnam took part in developing 130 general tourism products, connect at least 2 nations in ASEAN according to specialized groups such as: nature travel, legacy culture, community, sea and river transportation also positive implement ASEAN 2011 – 2015 tourism marketing strategy with the topic “South East Asia – feeling the warm”.

Vietnam undertook successfully ASEAN (2013 – 2014) marketing leader and travel communication role, currently taking in charge of vice team leader of tourism service quality group, coordinating travel production development of river transportation and technical support project for travel development of Mekong river sponsored by UNWTO for ASEAN and taking in charge of coordinator of some projects.  

Integration to enhance trust and brand of Vietnam travel

ASEAN integration contributes the importance in doing request “Embeding Vietnam travel market to ASEAN and global tourism market like: Vietnam tourism development strategy in 2020, the vision to 2030.

Thanks for international integration deeply and widely, Vietnam tourism presented in global travel map. Some famous destinations established their brands in international market.

Integration of tourism product in ASEAN contributing diversity of Vietnam tourism products, enlisting customer sources connecting tour in the area. Which help increasing attraction of ASEAN tourism, connection ability between Vietnam and other countries.

On the other hand, product quality, tourism service of Vietnam increased dramatically, meet the demand of travelers in and out of ASEAN in different factors, especially to high quality market, concentrating in big travel centers.

Vietnam also enlisted effectiveness of travel promotion in area to attract international travelers. Implementing agreement admit each other in ASEAN about tourism (MRA-TP) is a chance for domestic travel enhance travel quality, meet the requirement of transportation in ASEAN.

Competitive ability of Vietnam tourism enterprises also accelerated based on tourism product development connection in line with travel-no-hotel model. Different enterprise types take part in product supply cycle, travel service such as: food and drink service, entertainment service, etc are more increasing, basisly meet the demand of connection between Vietnam and ASEAN countries.
