New regulation to assess primary student

Ministry of Education and Training has just decreed No. 22/2016/TT-BGDĐT (Decree 22) which is changed and added some clauses of primary student assessment regulation. Decree 22 will be officially implemented and replace decree 33 before from November 6th, the middle of the first semester.  

Decree 30, after 2 years applied, revealed many limitations. Ministry of Education and Training in September 28th said Decree 22 is based on the completion of Decree 30 which is supposed to create new momentum for teacher and primary student.

Accordingly, there are some changes in primary student assessment. Initially, there are 2 levels to examine student: Finished and Unfinished then as for decree 22, it will have 3 levels: Execellent, Finished and Unfinished. Assessment in line with 3 levels will be applied by teachers in middle and end of each semester.

Decree 22 also regulate to approve regular assessment process to middle and end of each semester, quantitative assessment in ability and performance in 3 levels: Execellent, Good and Need more effort (Previously according to Decree 30 there were only 2 levels: Good and Not Good.

Reducing the pressuse of relative works to books for teacher, according to Decree 22, education quality supervising notebook will be replaced by conclusion table of education assessment, at the same time, no room for any number is used for student examine process. Teachers are positive to follow the development progress of students, noted with students who have unfinished categories and who have outstanding performance in order to catch the information and use it when needed.  

Decree 22 has awared regulation to honor students who have excellent performance in study and practice.
