Recently, Dak Lak Province has already determined locations, adjusted size and increased the number of solar plants up to 18. The total area is 7.494ha. The projects will be submitted for approval from the government to stimulate the development of local economy and community. Most of the projects are located in remote areas such as Ea Sup, Buon Don, Krong Bong where agriculture and forestry are ineffective.
Dak Lak Province has witnessed the intention from nearly 40 investors presently to research and promote projects which have total capacity of over 14,000MW. After considering financial ability and experience of the investors, Dak Lak Province has approved 18 investors to survey and conduct projects.
Dak Lak Province has provided preferential land rent, water surface and income taxes for a while. The province also improves its paper work practice to attract investors.
The areas that are potential in developing solar power includes Ea Sup, Buon Don, Krong Bong, Ea H’leo districts.
