(Vote: DTCK) Gia Lai Power Joint Stock Company (stock symbol GEG - HOSE) has announced a prospectus to issue dividend-paying shares, ESOP shares and offer them for sale to existing investors.
As a result, GEG plans to issue a total of more than 32.54 million new shares, including 10.84 million dividend shares, 5.42 million ESOP shares and 16.27 million shares offered to existing shareholders.
Specifically, GEG issued nearly 10.85 million shares to pay dividends to shareholders. The performance rate is 4%, which is what shareholders holding 100 shares are entitled to receive 4 new shares.
The issue value at face value is close to 108.5 billion VND. The release date is scheduled for 2021.
Previously, the company’s 2021 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders approved the 2020 Profit Distribution Plan, whereby dividends are paid at a total rate of 8%, 4% in shares and 4% in cash.
In addition, GEG also plans to issue more than 5.4 million ESOP shares under the employee stock option program at a rate of 2%. The issue price is 10,000 VND/share, This should raise more than 54 billion dong.
These ESOP shares may be sold within one year from the date of completion of the issue.
At the same time, GEG offered 16.24 million shares to existing shareholders at a ratio of 6%. The asking price is 10,000 dôngs/share, which should raise more than 162.7 billion dôngs. Release time in 2021.
The total expected amount of proceeds from the sale of ESOP shares and their offer to existing shareholders is nearly 217 billion VND.
GEG said this amount should make it possible to use nearly 173.3 billion VND to buy additional issued shares of Gia Lai Hydropower (GHC), to use 40 billion VND to provide capital for the implementation of the Ben Tre V.P.L wind power project invested by VPL Energy JSC, the remainder of more than 3.6 billion VND to supplement working capital.
On the market, the GEG share price closed the trading session on August 12 at VND 17,950/share, up nearly 16% over the past month.
