(PetroTimes) - The need for a comprehensive and clear legal corridor to enable offshore renewable energy development is desired by many investors, including PetroVietnam Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation (PTSC).
Currently, PTSC provides a complete service chain for oil and gas exploration and development activities, from upstream to downstream to midstream. In recent years, based on the promotion of its core services, PTSC has been heavily involved in the global supply chain in the field of offshore renewable energy.
PTSC, as a contractor, has won more than 10 offshore wind energy projects with a total power generation capacity of 5.2 GW, a total contract value of more than USD 1.2 billion, 100% of which are export projects, creating direct jobs for more than 4,000 workers.

In May 2023, PTSC signed a contract for the manufacture and supply of offshore wind energy stands for the CHW2204 project in Taiwan (China). As agreed in the contract, PTSC will manufacture 33 suction bucket nails for the turbine. These wind turbine foundation structures will be installed in the Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farm by the end of 2025.
This is the first time Vietnam has been awarded a high-value export contract in the newest field of renewable energy. Winning this contract and implementing this contract, in addition to creating a historic turning point for PTSC in the development of new services, is also the first time Vietnam's name appears on the global renewable energy map, will also create a ripple effect, contributing to the formation of a chain supply chain for the renewable energy industry in Vietnam.

A PTSC representative gave journalists an overview of the wind energy project that PTSC is implementing.
After obtaining the license, PTSC - Sembcorp Joint Venture will carry out wind measurement, marine and geological survey activities in some areas off the coast of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in order to collect the necessary data for the implementation of investments and project development
By developing renewable energy, Vietnam can combine the goals of socio-economic growth, energy security, national defense security, maritime sovereignty, industrialization, and low carbon emissions towards the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.
PTSC General Manager Le Manh Cuong spoke to reporters about the company's activities
Sharing the meeting with the press on 10/11, Mr. Manh Cuong affirmed that to adapt to the energy transition trend and comply with the Government of Vietnam's commitment to Net Zero by 2050, PTSC has been actively involved in the service supply chain as well as investment activities in the renewable energy sector.
