The delegation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (Kingdom of Cambodia) visited and surveyed Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park, wastewater treatment plant, water supply plant... The two sides discussed the situation of industrial park development, local economic development projects, public management experience of industrial parks, and strengthening mutual investment cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia in general and Tay Ninh province with provinces bordering Cambodia in particular.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Duc Trong, said that Tay Ninh has 6 industrial zones (IPs) that have been licensed to be established and put into operation with a total planned area of 3,491 hectares. These industrial parks are invested in complete basic infrastructure such as road system, water supply and drainage system, wastewater treatment plant, electrical system, lighting...
Environmental protection work is carried out regularly and effectively; 100% of operating industrial parks have centralized wastewater treatment plants that meet prescribed standards before being discharged into the environment; Solid waste and hazardous waste are strictly controlled.
In industrial parks, there are 348 registered investment projects (including 284 foreign investment projects and 64 domestic projects) with a total registered investment capital of 9,623 million USD. Projects registered for investment are mainly in the textile and garment industry, rubber and plastic products, leather and footwear, and metal products. There are 270 active projects, creating jobs for about 126,000 workers.

The occupancy rate of industrial parks reached 67%; The remaining industrial land area that can attract investment is about 330 hectares. Tay Ninh is implementing the establishment of Hiep Thanh Industrial Park with a scale of nearly 500 hectares. In the coming time, the province will focus on developing 3 new industrial parks and expanding 1 industrial park, with a total planned area of 4,400 hectares.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Duc Trong emphasized that this experience-sharing session is a valuable opportunity for the two sides to exchange, learn and cooperate; continues to mark a remarkable development in the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia in general and neighboring provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia in particular.

Mr. Yeth Vi Nel - Deputy Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance said that the Government is very interested in investing in transport infrastructure development, thereby strengthening cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam. Mr. Yeth Vi Nel hopes that the meeting will contribute to creating opportunities to promote trade and strengthen good cooperative relationships between border provinces.
