Meeting the change of consumer behavior of people, that is the selection of products with no preservation, many enterprises produce food and beverage start applying technology to eliminate preservation.

According to experts, this is an inevitable trend if food manufactures want to survive and compete right in the domestic market, before aiming to export.
According to food experts, using high technology (UHT technology) to keep the natural taste, nutrient, no preservatives which are applied in dairy, fruit juice products for a long time.
In Europe, the proportion of this technology in the package product is from 92 to 96%.
In Vietnam, some enterprises produce fruit juice package start applying this technology to keep the product with the best quality, preserved longer time like Cocoxim coconut juice package of Betrimex company.
An expert of Tetra Park VN acknowledged the direct sterilization UHT (process material from 140 to 144 degree cencious in from 2 to 4 seconds by atomizing direct hot steam to product before freezing fast down to 22 – 30 degree cencious) is used by Betrimex currently, the lastest technology, can keep the taste as same as nature.
This process is processed in automatic and safe conveyor system, the products are packaged by antipacterial high technology in order to eliminate recontaminating of bacteria in store, distribution in environment temperature condition.
“With this technology and process, products are kept consistent quality in 12 months without chill or preservative, thus, help saving energy about 35%”, this expert said.

Microbiology engineer Dang Huy Thai, who is working for Thailand beverage group, affirmed applying this new technology, fruit juice product package of Vietnam will have many advantages not only in domestic market but also increase competitive ability in export activities.
